1. Atmospheric region over the Southern Ocean, between the south of Australia and Antarctica, is free from anthropogenic aerosols.

2. Aerosols feeding clouds over the Southern Ocean are remarkably and consistently different than elsewhere on Earth, due to their isolation from aerosols released from large land masses.

3. Bacteria in the samples of ambient aerosols between the altitudes of 42.8 to 66.5 degrees were investigated for understanding the air.

4. Dust and pollution can travel from thousands of kilometers away but none were found in the sample

5. Air samples collected near Antarctica in Southern Ocean mainly contained microbes from the ocean

6. Southern Ocean clouds are strongly linked to ocean biological processes, and that Antarctica appears to be isolated from southward dispersal of microorganisms and nutrient deposition from southern continents.

7. Southern Ocean have most of the microorganisms came from the ocean as it is largely isolated from anthropogenic particles produced in other parts of the world.

8. Area between Antarctica and Tasmania were dominated by marine bacteria and can be called “truly pristine” area.

9. Part of southern ocean near Antarctica is one of the few places on the planet that has been minimally affected by pollution

10.Latitude of the sampling location and air temperature were the main factors that influenced the microbes in the sample due to its association with the ocean.
